    Macauley River Access

    Hey Fellas,

Has anyone been up the Macauley from Lilybank station recently? What's the river flow and crossing points like currently? I understand the Godley is still inaccessible from that side.

Heading down south in 2 weeks time and I'm keen to head up there for a night or two. Driving a 105 series cruiser on big tires (pic related) and I've done plenty of river crossings before so not going to be doing anything stupid.

    Cheers All.

It is what it is on the day. Usually a dodle, if its got a bit of water in though the "main" crossing right at Lilybank can be deep and soft. If you go upstream 300-1000M youll find a much better placd to cross. Plain sailing after that first one.

Its easy-going at the moment. Go straight over the river toward Lillybank and hang a right just before the airstrip.
