Harvey's chopper base is only 5 min fly time away ...... it will be hammered !! Not that the hammering stops at Maka valley

Well if it’s got some thick bush then that’s where I would start.
It's all fun and games till Darthvader comes along
I respect your beliefs but don't impose them on me.

    Copy on this---

I've found a majority of the Deer, especially the Stags with any Age are almost completely nocturnal- on the odd chance one might step out 10 minutes early or heaven forbid stand out an extra 20 minutes..... makes it difficult when they hear that chopper and dissapear ... but thats just how it is over here.
makes those elusive Southern Alps "Big boys" that little more Trophy Calibre.

sure theres better heads on other DoC land but its just not the historical stuff we've grown up reading about etc....

Chainsaw- I actually noted very minimal Deer sign a bit Closer to the Hangar in another Valley also... hmmm

Would love to hear from those who put in for the Wanaka Roar Ballot----- Do many Pull out anything of Decentcy ???
from the Hut books in the Area it looks like alot of people come in with alot of Huff and Hope , Yet leave before the Ballot alocation time with what is mostly written down as "Lack of Sign/Animals" so "heading out early" is a common theme..

i kind of Wanna bag one in there before the Ballot thats all
