A series of unfortunate events. The wettest Summer I can remember and would like to forget was followed by a reasonable Autumn but June has been wet with another 180 mm over 10 days. We lost power on Friday night due to water or damp in the cabinet with our main switch main switch in. We got it back on yesterday afternoon (thanks to the Troubleman and Sparky) so this morning I squelched my way around the paddocks to make sure everything was working and the cows had ignored the fact that the electric fences were of . What passes for hunting in my case is a rapidly fading memory and using my range to get some rifles sorted for target shooting in the Spring is unlikely for some weeks. A trip to the Taupo Range to do some testing will be needed.
