    Also agree. We need to keep deer numbers in check. Sensible levels I mean.

    Its a Fallow. A yearling. Easily pick it up by one hand. Big un-controlled population and not much feed.

    Thanks. Yep, I've shot farmland Fallow like that from high populations on scant feed. Usually need to shoot two to get enough venison. I've found backsteaks are very thin on these underfed animals but it tastes the same. But, would rather shoot a bigger, healthier, fatter animal for a decent load of meat.
