Hi Hooperman
Haven't hunted this block in the roar but have been in there early January. Good block, not huge deer numbers but you shouldn't miss out. Great open country so take good binos and sit and watch all the bush guts from up high and there's plenty of places to walk. Leave the bush alone, bloody horrible, thick crap and the tops were way more productive. When we were there, the deer we shot were in southeast part of the block so aim to get up there nice and early. Hut was great and its got a nice big meatsafe.
Good luck

Have not hunted there, but for your trip in make sure your aware of the weight of all your gear (yourself included). Helisika, like most operators have a weight limit.
430kgs for the 500, and upto 610kg for the squirrel.
If you don't know, I would ask what machine your being taken in and plan accordingly. Its a pain to have to leave gear behind at the hangar but the weight limits are for aircraft performance and safety. So if you have all that sorted early you will be sweet.
Have a great trip in! And take a camera :-)
I only found it on the last day I was there but it looked really promising was to climb the opposite side of the valley from the hut and sit the ridge looking down into the next catchment. Check boundaries ...
