    Mangatainoka hut Kaweka's

    Off next week to the Mangatainoka hut, anybody hunted it before? All advice welcome.

    Was there a few years ago, nice place but take a tent. We flycamped as it gets crowded in the hut. No firewood handy

    In there last week.
    A lot of snow damage makes it hard hunting.
    We cleared a lot of the track upstream of the hut.
    The damage had made the 1.5 hrs to the bivvy over a couple of hours.
    Good hut plenty of wood with all the damaged trees.
    Try around the bivvy.
