Kooza thanks for posting those two links some interesting reading in there.
Cspence , MassiveAttack is right this is an excellent book brought it when I first started out, first copy bloody handy, I even went as far as adding colour photos of all the flora that deer like that the two had drawn, found this helped really get to know the names of plants and make identification a lot easier. You can do this easier today with the internet.
God knows how many rolls of film I went through doing this.
