@gadgetman and @mudgripz might have one

2km with just 2 18650s... That's bloody impressive. Now trying to find a use for it over my current one

Had one, flicked it on. The beam is very narrow and the colour tint not much good for a hunting torch. OK for torch nuts, yes they exist, for bragging rights but that is about it really. For what we do the M24 and 2X are way better.

Doesn't seem like your typical Maxtoch pricing.
Pretty hard to go past the 2X as it shines a lot further than 99% of people shoot.

    +1

They have impressive tech in them, hence the pricing. 1/3 less light output than the M24 and 2X stretching out to almost 2x the distance. Honestly could not think of one practical use for it. The beam was too narrow and had a greenish/blue tint and rainbow coloured ring around the edge.

Sent off to a torch guru and hunter in the US. He was impressed, but agreed it was no use for hunting. He still hasn't figured out a use for it either.

Yep - Xsword not a kiwi spec Maxtoch like the 2X or M24. One was given to me - tested it and couldn't think of a possible use for it. Beam narrow enough to spot a gnat's testicles at 500m - but I don't shoot alot of bloody gnats!

Gave it to gadgetman who looked at it, laughed, and promptly gave it to someone else. Its NOT a hunter light. Possibly useful for playing Star Wars laser sword games but nothing else..

Save your money and get 2X or M24.
