Thread: Mesopotamia

A couple of us are down this way to hunt some tahr. We were set on mesopotamia but saw that a large amount of animals has been recently culled out of the area.

Has anyone been in there since the cull?

There’s still animals there just not as many, it will still be good hunting all the best let us know how you get on.

Need to refresh my geography, was thinking of the ancient land lying between the rivers, the Tigris and the Euphrates.

Messy is better in the winter for Tahr as the coats are better and they are much lower down. Some of that country is full of bluffs and can be a bit nasty if you get up high and come down a different route. It is still a grand place to be at any time!

6 days in. Its a neat place. A few dead tahr on some scree left over from the cull. Saw a decent amount of animals but we also did do a lot of walking.
. Some bulls still had their dark winter coats on.
