Thread: Mid Dome and Cupola access

Wondering is access easy or is it a Farm ring job .Thinking a few days fly camping over roar see its an open block any info would be cool cheers

Not easy in the least, good luck getting access to there. It's always been locked up very tight from all angles.

Public access into the Dome up Firey Creek in the Nokomai Road. Bit of a grunt in. Always has been access in that side. If you get a permit thru southland doc office you'll get contact numbers on who to ring, I know some landowners will refuse access at this time of year, but others are very good and approachable if you're polite and respectful. Quite a few deer in the area - doesn't get waro'd like it used to, shit heads in general - odd good one taken in past years with farm genetics tho, gets a hammering from hunters from now through to end of April.
