At my age, I can see a hill and climb it. Can still carry above my weight in a deer carcass or pack for reasonable distances. I have a reasonable grasp on who I am and where I am going.
Made all the mistakes you young sorts will.
Been hunting and shooting for well over 30 yrs and find it as exciting/enjoyable as I did when I first started.
Know enough about some things to be dangerous.
One of the major bonuses of being my age and experience is knowing just about every clearing and creek bend in my huge playground and never struggling to fill the freezer with fish or meat.
Have a few years up my sleeve to secure my public land 330+ Red Stag.
I really look forward to enjoying another 20-30 yrs and fostering my kids and others if they wish, into the pursuits I have had the privilage too participate in.
When I get really old like Rushy and Tahr I hope I am still going strong like they are
Or leaving deer hocks on my Subaru's side mirror after one of your successful trips hahahahhaha
