    Talking 7.62x39 in my sks, I've had tula hallow-tips primers failing to detonate, about 1 in 10 rounds would fail. I have found the czech tracers (gun city) perform admirably. And yes the FMJ tracers will kill game effectively, look up ballistic wound profiles.

    7.62x54 181gr FMJ yugo steel core surplus (and I assume most 7.62nato surplus), shooting steel-core/FMJ will punch holes right through your animal, only good if you have shot placement.
