7.62x54 181gr FMJ yugo steel core surplus (and I assume most 7.62nato surplus), shooting steel-core/FMJ will punch holes right through your animal, only good if you have shot placement.

If you set fire to the countryside with tracer you better have good insurance , for this reason it is prohibited on most if not all club ranges in NZ

It is doubt full that filing too much off a tip will leave the jacket in the barrel , many have deliberatly tried to do this and have had to take the entire tip off to get a result , still it is up to you . Forster make a hollow point attachment that fits their case trimmer .
