Good on the old bugger for being out there ( gives me a great deal of confidence that I will still be doing it at that age). I hope they find him fit and well. VC do you know the area?

Shit I hope he is ok, Yea Rushy I know that creek well. Its all fairly easy country with nice open beach but does drop sharply down into the creek in the upper parts of it where it could be possible to have a nasty fall.
If he headed up to the clearings it gets a bit thick and flat and may have got disoriented.
If he is able to answer a yell and they know which side he went up im picking he should be found pretty quick.

Hope this has a happy ending.

Yeh I just heard on the news that they have stepped up the search and some of his hunting party are helping out. I suspect you are righ BC, something will have happened so let's hope it is nothing too serious. It sounds to me as though he was well prepared and experienced enough to look after himself.
