Moanui - Koranga - Tawa loop

Hi All thinking of heading in and doing the loop track walk with my daughter and the dog over the next few days, anyone been in recently and know the state of the tracks and if the river travel is ok at the moment, daughter should be fitter and better than me at hiking and crossing rivers. Anything to be aware of in there as I havent been in before?

Hoping to get away from the crowds and catch a trout and spot a deer along our travels, if we have enough time might head up river to one of the recently burnt down huts from tawa end

We will be fly camping away from the huts and hoping its not too mad in there, will be walking across the farm to the start of the track and doing it anti clockwise to walk down the burn.

Other option we are looking at is Whirinaki and doing central Mangamate stream loop, or head into Rogers and back via Moerangi but I think better chance of less people in Waioeka

    Cheers FBD

Quite common to see deer in those riverbeds, especially late arvo - evening.
    Should be a good trip.
