    Moose Roar

    G'day Gents,

The bucket list is looking full, time to start emptying it!

I want to go to Alaska or Canada next August/September for a moose hunt and maybe catch a fish or two. Ideally, have a float plane to skip from lake to lake.

Has anyone been? Anyone know of any contacts that can give us a fair deal instead of the exorbitant prices I have seen online.

    Cheers
    AJ

Yeap, but there are no cheap moose hunts anymore, better to spend the $$$ and only have to go once!
Try these guys for very good moose and mixed bag hunts, Canadians, so more like us and no BIG Alaska size egos.

Have a look at the bloke BT suggested.
I have a mate that lives here in NZ 6 months of the year. He's in Wanaka now. He and his son run a good op. The have helicopters and float planes. I was planning a trip at roughly the same time next year with him. I thought it was just a tad later for moose but?

I will PM you his contacts if you wish

Thanks for the replies. Just talking to a Mate who has a friend in Alaska with his own private float plane, worth exploring that a bit more I think.

    I agree, We should

Forgot to mention the bloke I know operates in northern BC. If the moose he got for my old boss is anything to go by, I may need an extention to the lounge. Thats if the cook would let me hang it in there

Ha Ha....... .223 would smoke it over no worries, with decent placement However if I get one that big, no matter what I am using, I will be aiming for the neck at least!
I wonder if you are allowed too use a 6.5 in BC.
