    More roe deer hunting

More roe deer hunting. I will admit, the forest crop cull stuff is pretty lame compared to NZ mountains, but I still enjoy being out with the dog.
This was an especially unfruitful morning, doing my third or fourth attempt at getting deer out of the valley in episode 124, but this time screwed by the wind. You could literary feel the avalanche of cold air mass tumbling down.

But got up on top quickly enough and managed to find two deer and follow them through the plantation until I could get a shot.

Nice shot. They are not quite as small as I thought.

Very nice shooting, I like seeing the flatter landscape for hunting. I also notice your dogs ears?
Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Yes he is definitively bald on the ears. I hope he isn't too conscious about it.

Getting bald ears is very common for wired hair pointers. From a certain age females often get bald patches on the flanks as well.. Not a pretty sight but those dogs' working motivation make up for the lack of "beauty"..
    Cheers
