    Mossberg hunting rifles

Ladies and Gentleman, what are your opinions on Mossberg hunting rifles 4X4 308W(synthetic) or 100ATR2 308W and about Mossberg brand in general? I have a chance to get a rifle with a very good price but none of my friends know much about Mossberg. It is not a very popular brand here in Poland. Since I have personal attachment to New Zealand and I used to hunt during my stay there I wanted to ask your advice as well. In that troubling times this forum can be my connection to you, beautiful people. On Polish forums the information is scarce and not very helpful.

I had the ATR 100 in 308 for awhile. For a cheap rifle i found it pretty ok. Didnt mind it at all.
Mossberg took over the Charter arms line of rifles(now the ATR 100) when the handgun king decided to go back to doing handguns only. i still have a chaterarms fieldking 243 as my go to rifle,
its great, shot keaps of animals with it . Charter arms rifles were better thou than the mossberg takeover thpou. Custom ER Shaw barrells, stainless, just better all rounder.
Mossberg cut costs, made them even cheaper but for the right price i found the one i had ok, still shot deer with it, works .
Its better than some of the cheap savages and a couple of othjer models out there. Still, it have to be cheap as theres better out there

I had an ATR in 270 many moons ago and it was an extremely accurate rifle. The finish was a bit "agricultural" but the action slicked up nicely after some use. Rifle shot extremely well off a rest but the stock was very flexy so did not have much luck shooting it from a bipod. Good budget priced rifles that will put meat in the freezer.

    10! has 270 divisors
270 is the smallest positive integer that has divisors ending by digits 1, 2, …, 9.

I had an ATR in 308. I liked it except:

*Heavy trigger. Not adjustable. I shot like a spaz, never got used to it.

*Blind box magazine. No detachable mag, no floorplate. Pain to unload. Didn't like that.

Played around with a mates Mossberg Patriot in 300winmag.
The finish seemed acceptable and was quite a nice firearm to shoulder, was nicely balanced.
No experience with your specific rifles but the brand does seem to have a good following in the USA. Not sure if that means too much though.
