    mount studholme

    Hey All

looking at trying to head out with my father in law over christmas, he's got a buggered knee so anything more than about 100m of walking over rough ground is out for him, my thinking is to head up past the mt studholme mast, plonk him on the bonnet of the car with a spotting scope plus walky talkie so i can get off the road with the rifle and look to get some wallabies. that still viable? been a longtime since i was down that way so I don't even know if that road is still drivable.

Yip feasible just don't expect to shoot heaps and will be fine. Bit wet at moment so unless 4x4 with good tyres don't go up much past the woolshed

Last time past the mast the road was fairly washed out going down the hill, only viable to 2 wheelies and farm bikes.

cheers, it's either that or some borderline legal shooting in the rakaia riverbed at the fallow there.
