    Mounting stinky horns

I got onto some new land over the weekend and was just sussing out where a disused track went when a little crunching in the undergrowth caught my attention.
At around 20 feet the poor billy met ye olde 308 and dropped like a stone.
Horn spread goes just shy of 35inches - so I think I might put them up in the garage.

I boiled the skull cap for hours, but the horns will not shift from the bone.
Should I just let them rot out and then glue back onto the skull cap once I've cleaned it all up?

    cheers
