Mp3 Player with Speaker for Animal Calls

Hi all. I found some MP3 turkey calls on a old external hard drive so I though I'd transfer them over to my phone to use while turkey hunting but the phone's speaker is piss weak. Does anyone know a good light affordable mp3 player with speaker or bluetooth speaker to play turkeys calls with that can be heard across a paddock? thanks

Any weather resistant, reasonably loud bluetooth speaker connected to a phone would work. I did this for duck shooting. It worked well, but it was a hassle and I relented and bought an AJ Caller in the end.

    I’ve used a little a little JBL, think it’s called a clip.
    It’s not super loud, but 10 x a ph speaker, and it’s small/flat.

First time I used it, I was sitting just a meter behind and above my mate. I hadn’t told him I had it.
It was nice still evening on an alpine ridge above a beech valley, and I decided to give it a go, I’ve got some app with heaps of calls, volume up to max, selected red deer roar. Pushed play.

Fark it was funny, he jumped up with a horrified look on his face, and nearly fell down the hill.
He thought we were about to be charged

Wasn’t until the next day before he saw the funny side.

This is how I got my first stag, hunting with a forum member in a Molesworth block who uses the same setup, JBL clip and a phone. A lot of the apps with deer calls have gone from the Andriod app store apart from ones from America.

On a low tech side I've heard of using a transistor radio for sika. Just leave in a clearing with some quiet static going then take cover and wait for the curiosity to get the better of the deer. No idea if this works or not.

Very effective for foxes, they come right up to it.
    JBL CLIP 6
I use it in car as well better sound than my car shitty speakers. There is online libraries of sounds BTW, quite a few is free
JBL 6 is semi weatherproof , ok in light rain, won't take it swimming though

Yep , the JBL's as mentioned go good when paired with the ihunt app. Have been using that style set up over here in AUs for the last few years. I personally run the flip 5 speaker ( flip 6 is the new version). Has heaps of power for good strong calls when needed, and with the built in bass tube it gives a good throaty call. My mate puts his Graff boys caller away when i bring the jbl. and even better , the ihunt app has all the graff calls on it for the reds, with a few better ones too . Happy hunting

oh yeah, as a added bonus you can place them up to about 20 meters away from phone, shooting position, just like a 2 man call in set up

Not sure if that's still around, it isn't for Android. I tried contacting the app creator with no luck.
