    Mt Tanilba wapiti block

    Me and my mate have scored a spot 3rd period in mt Tanilba has anyone been before and willing to share some information as we have never had a wapiti block before

    great block that , you can land a chopper anywhere as it is not a wilderness area block. some nice bulls in there too.

    Went there early 90s i think ,landed and camped on a big swampy clearing off the Caswell sound side of the block.
    Only seen one deer for the two weeks there, had a beer with the pilot after we came out and he said actually i wouldn't drop my mother in law in that block!!!LOL.
    Which is and indication of what animal numbers were like at the end of the live capture waro days.

    It is commonly called the cradle of storms, make sure you have a good tent. There are lots of reds but also a few nice wap types

    Hi South hunter and hindquarters we have 2nd period would be good to have a yarn. Who are you flying in with? We’re with southern lakes.
