I use the Macpac carbon ones. Have had them for 4 years, use them with my tent. Get ones that are clip lock, not twist lock.

I use them - Black Diamond clip lock ones. Easy to strap to side of the pack when I don't need them, great to have walking down steeper sections.

Very much like my Black Diamond poles. Clip lock is great and very light. First pair so nothing to compare against but was recommended to get cork handles over synthetic.

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

...and you can use them as shooting sticks. Not that I do, but sounds like a good idea.

I don't go anywhere without poles these days. Descents are easy nicer on the knees. Great for shooting off over long tussock. Would be good for a tarp or trekking pole tent. I use leki and they seem to be fine.

+1 I'm the same. I use Leki poles, and I can certainly walk further without the fatigue if I use a pole. At a pinch I've used the single pole hand loop to support my rifle to bag a spiker while shooting over high tussock. Walking poles are must have if there is a pack on my back.
