Thread: Murray Block Stewart Island

Looking at going to Murry Block Stewart Island. Would like to know if it's any good for both hunting & fishing. All info much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hunting yes, know of a local that likes to go there and has had plenty of success. Fishing would revolve around if your taking a your own boat? There are more sheltered blocks in the inlet for boat access. Off the rocks, I'd imagine you would get the odd blue cod and trumpeter if you find a deep point somewhere

223nut had Christmas last year, got the boat out often enough & fishing was great. Deer not so plentiful, only 2 seen by the 4 of us. No shots fired except for 1 cat & 1 possum.
