    My Sons first gun

Took my youngest (Shea) out to the Phoenix range this morning with his new Savage Arms .22 Rascal.

Many smiles from the older shooters at the "cute little gun" and the colour was given approval.

Ät least its not pink" was one comment!

He managed to get all 40 shots on the target at 25m with one dead smack in the centre and he loved every shot!

Pleasing to see a start with iron sights. Have my doubts about those who go from day one with optics, bit like getting a driver's licence on an automatic car, thus missing out on the basics and then being locked in for ever on automatics.

Congratulations! I know how you feel, I didn't got my kids a Rascal but I take them to my little shooting spot where they have a blast shooting my spinning plate at 40 meters( scoped and silencer), a little mission to them been it a full scale rifle.
    All the best!

    Good on ya KK

Bet he'll be out shooting the Old Man in no time.

Be handy for the carry when he gets a bit bigger too.

    Cheers

My brother brought one for his son, hes nearly 5 now and loves it. Good shot too with the open sights. They are a brilliant wee gun

When the little bugger visited last he asked to look in my gun safe at "his one day guns" cause one day they will all be his apparently.

I've got one for my boy, he's eight and he's shot two rabbits with it so far. I said he has to shoot five before he gets a scope!
