Thread: near to Hamilton hunting suggestions

Planning on heading out for a Waitangi weekend hunt with a good mate who has only recently started hunting. Anyone willing to suggest some reasonably successful Waikato spots that aren't too far out of Hamilton (young family and a worrying partner)? Probably wanting somewhere that won't be too congested and needs to be public land unless someone is willing to share private.
