I've never neckshot, always gone for the vitals, but I'm also thinking about it, and have talked to various wise heads.
The best of their advice has been :
1) You have to place accurately to bring it down
2) If you CAN'T place very accurately, go for the Vitals .. unless you feel like running around the hills chasing a wounded animal
So it sounds like unless you've got real faith in your accuracy don't attempt this.
I wont be yet.

Yeah thats what i've got out of it too. Might have to practise on some goats until i'm totally confident with shot placement.
Not that I want to maime a goat but it doesnt taste quite as good so not risking it on bambi running off cause I missed just yet haha.
