I had the same thought the first time I watched this.

I know of some pack goats in action with success.. local DOC are in the loop and okay with it.
Yep but you would need a window between you and them while in transport! Our windscreen wipers on the inside and wearing of a rain coat while driving:O_O: spitting as a defence mechanism god sure was nuts when he invented this one:thumbsup:
I wonder how they would go in the roar, would some second rate stag try to round them up :XD:
Yep, we had exactly the same thought too. Bloody awesome.
I reckon they are the next thar. Let a few go into the southern alps and let them breed for a bit. Start hunting them and evolution will change them from the dumb arses they are now into a cunning quarry. Let some Emu's go into the lowland bush to replace the moas.
Attachment 64160apparently there's some in Te Urewera..
Every time I drive past some in a farm paddock I wonder what they taste like. I am also puzzled as to how may extra neck chops you would get on one on them things ....? I do love slow cooked neck chops
There are llama tours run out of hanmer springs. Tuck the lead rope through your belt and they follow along like a horse. Tour isn't aimed at hunters but I imagine it's the same as dogs, start them on a suppressed 22 before letting a braked 30cal + off beside them
I thought that was just me.... Thank god I'm not crazy!
There are some Alpacas just down the road Stug. Will they do you?
Actually @Rushy I would prefer pack goats but I can't really see DoC being keen on wandering Arthurs Pass with 4 goats in tow!

Geez that's intense reading there thanks so much for POINTING THAT OUT STUG guess I shouldn't have been silly enough to ask!...so that says national parks what about forest parks is that included ? if so I have been naughty in that I saddle up my 4 & 7 yo girls ponys and go for walks in the bush :TT TT: but now that I think about it there is a lot of doc land down here were you are aloud to ride horses on doc land.
You might be alright in some forest parks or other DoC reserves with horses, but even then DoC limit them a lot.
