Does anyone know which forestry company controls the access up from Meads Road?

Happy Jack
Found out its Tasman Pine and they don't allow hunters access.

I camped above the Waiau river downstream of Malings pass two nights ago, and there were quite a few deer about on the flats, both evening and more so morning (a mob of 6 donks heading back to the scrub @400m). Passed 8 TA walkers and some MTBers on the way out.

That’s no where near Starveall or the Rintoul tops. They’re lucky to be 400m across in most places.
