DOC is about to drop 1080 over a good part of the Nelson lakes in the next two months(33000)
Prob a good idea to plan a trip for a deer soon before its done. Of cause its to save the kea but we know its prob the end of 60% of them now ,

Was visiting the South Island last year for a look around, awesome, and speaking to a fellow hunter, he asked about deer being shot from choppers in NSW, I confirmed it was going on and he replied "Kiwi's would say those animals were a resource." Yep I agree but "experts" seem to want to kill to waste. Sad.
This guy wants to worry about whats going on in the local hills

It's weird that there is no mention of the planned drops on the DoC website.
I f they would open up access to areas of Marlborough they control instead of making hard then we the hunters might be out there keeping the numbers down so they didnt have to dump that shit all over the place .
