Thread: Nelson/Tasman Pointers for this time of year?

Evening all,
New Hunter here,
The past 3 weekends i have gone out at least 2 or 3 days, covered ALOT of ground both up high and down low, in the open and in the absolute horrific scrubby steep shite.

Can anyone point me in the direction of where things are holding up at present?

The freezer is empty and my better half is about due to start spending money on red meat again....

Any help is very muchly appreciated

middle slope,in the gullies and on these cold frosty mornings,in sunlit clearings early in the day....woke up to beautiful morning and watched reds out sunning themselves...and not just one or two either... absolutely magic to see them on ridgetops with sun on clouds behind them....
stuff all food left for them from now on,in the bush ,fallen broad leaf leaves are a staple over winter so broadleaf gully that is in the sun,mid slope tick tick tick..get the wind right and slow right down to slower than a slow thing....eyes on stalks,squat to look into new views,move slowly forward another half dozen steps and do it again...and again....and again... they will be there somewhere,nowhere else to go,you are in thier HOMES so just have to work out which room they are in.
