Thread: New to Palmerston North

Hey guys i have just moved up to Palmerston North and am itching to get out into the bush for some unarmed hunting (cant find anywhere to store my rifle so will just shoot them with my camera). I assume im best to head for the Ruahines as opposed to the Tararua's, but just wondering if anyone could point in the right direction in terms of huts/ bivvy's i could base myself out of for over nighters as i am completely new to the Ruahines and have only hunted the southern Tararua's.
