    Ngapuketurua Hut Heli Sika

I have booked this Hut for a week next year during April.
Hut is said to be small 2/3 bunks.
Taking wife and two young kids with me on trip.
Anyone who has been there I are after some info.

Is creek close by for water?
    Does it have a fireplace?
Going to take a stretcher for the young bloke to sleep on and pack it away during the day.
any other thing you think of for those who have been there and wish you had taken.

    Cheers

Been there twice now. The hut is only 2 bunks,3rd person has a mattress on the floor. It's really a 2 person hut as its very small and there is no fire but there is a gas heater. There's no meatsafe either. The water supply creek is close to the hut and there's 10 and 20l containers for hut water.
Not a bad block. The open tops don't hold many deer but there are more animals in the bush at the northern end of the block towards Kens Hut block, bit tight in spots but ok generally.
If you get fine weather you'll be ok but a few wet days will test the family bond as the hut will get smaller real quick.Nowhere to dry clothes etc.
Good luck, will be keen to read the trip report.

Hut does look real small but its all that is left in the period of my days off.
    Block looks interesting alright .
Kids are only small so will bring stretchers for them.
did explain size of hut to wife and she is the ultimate Camp wife so reckons she will handle it.
Gas heater is what I was expecting so that will work ok.
will do a report also have to complete one on Northarm which we went to start of this month.
    Thanks again.
