Thread: Northarm area

Can anyone give us some info on hunting up 'Fucshia Stream' and 'Blue Duck Stream' and also up on the tops of Maungaorangi and the ridge....any experiences appreciated....

Maungorangi is a nice walk up. Just go up to head off valley and across some to the right and then up the ridge. Slightly steep at top but my 7yr old did it sweet so no biggy. Alright hunting on way up. Quiet ground to hunt but average feed. Without a dog youd need a little luck.
Cell reception up there if you want to tell ya mates to suck it lol
Blue Duck has always produced. Good early morning hunt on way there. Best bit is on the final terrace looking I to blue Duck stream. Be there reasonably early. And remember that any deer on the opposite terrace can see you. They've sprung me a couple of times as I minted the terrace only 100 from the good lookouts into blue Duck.
Also go and find the start of the track at end of air strip on first night. It's poorly marked at start and people have tromped everywhere making lots of little tracks. It easy enough. To far left is swamp. Hit the little terrace and follow it around till you find it.
That way you aren't effing arou d in the early morning.
