    Northland hunting

    Hey guys,

I've not too long moved up here from the south island and wanted to know where there are some good hunting spots, obviously quite happy with Pig and Goat for now as I don't believe there is too much more out this way.

I'm based in Whangaparoa and generally looking north but would be keen on the Waikato area too. Like I said, new to the area, looking for spots and some good entry points.

    Thanks heaps

    Dave

Welcome to the forum. There is shitloads to explore within four hours from where you are.

Thanks Rushy. Yeah I've been on the DOC sites and found where you can hunt, was going to try the first place at Brynderwyn but seems they've released a load of kiwis into the area so was a little sceptical of tramping (And firing) around there. Heard of place up in south head, but I believe that's on private farm land and you have to pay a fee for access etc?!
