Awesome show tonight.
I’d imagine 99% of us prefer not to bump into other hunters, and have the hills to ourselves.
I won’t say anymore, watch it

I agree with Nigel. "F#%k that!"
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.
Good show and scenery.Im just not into climbing those mountains thats for sure.
30 years ago I might have, but certainly not now or ever again. Rock climbing was fun for quite a few years but Alpine is a whole other head game.
Happy Jack.
How? Is it on youtube?

I have bumped into other hunters twice when living in Hanmer. The second group turned out to be the roofing contractors due on one of our sites the next day.
Happy Jack.
Bumped into 2 groups of hunters in the space of 30min during the christmas break. They both turned up to see what we shot and to have a geeze.
Didnt see much on that trip other than the pig. Probably because the place was crawling with other hunters.

Unfortunately I’ve bumped in to a group of hunters in the general vicinity this weeks episode was filmed in. They chose to shoot a deer (took them 5 unsuppressed shots) only a couple of hundred metres from the hut we were using - with a light on in the hut at the time, and in full view of the hut.
My son was in the bush walking back to the hut less than 100 metres away from them when they let loose. I found out from a local farmer that one of the hunters involved was a volunteer with Search and Rescue from a West Coast town further north.
Epic trip so far, Bugger the peak climbing but I enjoy seeing a little of it makes the ep stand out.
Ripper of a Tahr for her amazing country and story to go with it
