I had some long flights last week so grabbed the latest NZ Hunter to read. I thought it was an excellent edition.
It drew my attention to the Tahr ballots, had a couple of interesting tests and Greg Gargou's article on light weight gear was excellent. There was also a nice story about the some of the Tahr blocks that I'm interested in. And to top it, some very useful information about using a GPS.
What's not to like?
But...I flicked through some others...mainly the NZ Outdoor and recoiled away. NZ Guns always looks ok.
The thing that I have disliked the most about some hunting magazines in recent years is the hype, bullshit and prima-donnas. Its a pathetic attempt at being like professional rugbyIts laughable. The same is happening with hunting vids on You Tube.
