    NZ Sika Foundation formed recently.

Hunters & Sika hunters in particular,

You may not be aware ( I wasn't until just recently) that a Foundation has been formed to try to protect our Sika under the auspices of the Game Animal Council's legislation.

Their website is: Central North Island Sika Foundation

There is also an interesting intro to the foundation at this link. Here is a bit more information about the Foundation in a podcast with Cam Speedy. EP77 - PART 2 Cam Speedy about the Central North Island Sika Foundation 12/01 by The Hunting Show | Hobbies Podcasts

Not sure why the link to Cam's intro doesn't highlight???? No doubt the link is also on the website.

If you're a keen Sika disturber like me you'll find their endeavours very interesting. Well worth supporting.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.

Good on ya guys. From what I can gather they are going to use the provisions in the Game Animal Council's legislation to have Sika registered as a " game animal of significant importance" or words to that effect.

They will need all the help that they can get from us dedicated Sika scarers because the Forces-of- Evil will be doing everything they can to block this!!!! The hua's know that once Sika are given this form of protection it follows on that Wapiti, white tail etc etc will shortly follow & that would most certainly fly in the face of the poisoners, tree huggers & the rest of the profiteerers who have their noses in the $millions trough!!!!!!

May I suggest that when you log onto their website that you send an encouraging message of support and at the same time make ALL your Sika hunting cobbers aware of the new Foundation.

GO TO IT GUYS & GIRLS.

If any of the 100's of Sika hunters in the vicinity of Rotorua are interested???? Cam Speedy is giving a talk about the Sika Foundation tonight 24th Feb at the Rotorua branch NZDA clubrooms at 1930hrs( 7-30pm to the peasants!!). Neil Hunt Park off Tarawera Rd. Apologies for the late advice.
