NZDA Tahr hunting survey
NZDA is proud to continue to advocate and protect the rights of tahr hunters across New Zealand. As part of that work we need to collect up-to-date data on tahr hunting.
DOC has asked us to give feedback on their draft operation plan for 2022/23. We need hunter engagement data to ensure our submission best represents the interests of tahr hunters and reflects the reality of tahr distribution in the South Island.
Fill in the survey by 5pm Monday, 21st March to help with our submission and to evidence recreational hunters' engagement with our tahr herd.

You all need to get on this. The submissions that the NZDA present will provide policy makers with an indication of how many people, stakeholders, interest groups, etc that they're dealing with. It will take 2 minutes. Please just do it.

Then submit something about that. Provide them with evidence and give them an amendmended recommendation. Look, I get it. You feel as though you are not being heard, that engaging in submissions will do nothing. I've said it a few times on this forum. Your submissions are all analysed and presented to the appropriate committees. What happens after that is beyond me. What I do know with 100% goddamn fking certainty though is that if you don't submit, then you really won't be heard. It really is that simple.
