    I would have seen 50+ deer that morning on the walk in, makes it interesting.

    Always plenty of animals in the Oamaru, surprising given the amount of people that hunt in there.
    What's the track like through there I was thinking of taking my mountain bike through to the hut.

    Unless you want to go over Te Iringa, but that would be a bloody mission I reckon, people do it though

    its not "thats" bad- 3.5 hours is from memory down to the swingbridge- walk past a lot of hunting on the way tho.

    Yeah that would be a pain with a pack rifle and bike. Sweet walk though
