Picked a great day for a quick hunt, arrived in rain, changed into my gear and climbed through the rain and the mist, plenty of sign, but saw nothing, glasses are an arse. Always good to get out, very steep country for an old guy.
The drive down was shit, funny how the drive home was better

Bit unlucky with the weather, at least it did clear for the trip home.

Where were you snooping around as not far to come and have a cupa down the valley!

About 25 ks out of Ohakune, towards where Keith Elliott used to live pm your address and I’ll come a annoy you next time!

I reckon that you only went to kune for the eclairs

Shit, I forgot about those, all setup to stop at the little cafe behind the petrol station at National Park. Hanging out for a coffee and he makes them. Bastard was closed til 1st June. Had to drive all the way back to Kinloch on minties mallow puffs and water!

Yep, but it’s a good catchup in a very nice “hut” built in 2019, with all new mod cons. Chew the fat and drink some red, life’s not all bad for the retired! We have much in common being born in 49, 7days apart. I’m the senior one.

I got on the piss in Coffs Harbour and they had a rugby quiz show, won about 6 caps and 3 ties. I’m a life member on FB with the team.
