Thread: Okahu Road

Does anyone know the state of the road end at the moment and is it likely to be fixed anytime soon-is the road end accesable with Hiacevan and poptop camper or still to rooted? Dont want to get stuck in there for a month like last year..Cheers.

Beeman has just pulled his bee hives out of there so he will have a good idea, I think it is washed out a bit but they got there bigger trucks in to collect there hives, so a smaller vehicle should be OK.

@bigfish 1. I was in there and no problem with a vehicle of most descriptions.

The roads good to negotiate in your utes, little bit of a wash out just up past the camp that you have to watch, good luck.

I hope its ok to the camp site course that's. where I will be heading after the mad weekend for 6/7 days with my caravan. Just got back from a tiki tour Napier to Masterton and all points east with my Mitsubishi outlander, fantastic wheels, so I can now get into the back of beyond.

Yep its outa date, some quality creek hunting now. Plenty of grass. RIP Toitoi
