No deer in Northland - haha well not many (quiet)
But really deer are south of us - woodhill fallow ballot is worth while for a day trip (just closed for the year now)

Some of the private forest blocks have pigs and the are run by the clubs I think (dogs only if I'm right) for access - I don't run dogs so this maybe wrong; but I'm sure a manager said certain blocks are for pig hunters
Otherwise some allow access by permit for goats
