What a great 4WD trip, have Jet boated the Cascade and hunted the lower Hope.

Not down there, I've crossed the Cascade and the Hope and driven into Barn Bay....it's paradise down there if you can handle seclusion and sandflys.

What a cracker episode!! Gives you a look into the past of what the fisheries used to be like. So cool.
I wonder how many crews give that a shot each year. Good mission

Brilliant opener, maybe they should buy a mincer like Tasman's for the next trip.

I'm fairly sure the two owners of the freehold land down there in the Cascade valley are old West Coast names, so hopefully no chance of it being bought out by overseas interests. But the vast majority of the land down there is public lands. Look it up on WAMS.

And yes, that episode will have me throwing an extra tote tank in the jet boat next month! Ohh, and some serious insect repellent

Not sure about Barn bay in general but there is a private property there which does require permission. Respectfully they kept it out of camera view.

The prime family member that controlled the access sadly passed away late last year and I'm not sure how things are moving forward (my wife knew Robyn well).
