Thread: Open country hunting in wind/rain

I am the same as you @Kimber 7mm-08 . Been living down here for 5 yrs now and shoot thousands of rabbits and seen a few deer and pigs while doing it.
I have got the itch to start getting the odd deer and it's a great way of seeing some amazing country out the back that you wouldn't normally go to.

I got taken out by a mate a couple of weeks ago and saw 5 deer well above us in fading light so shooting wasn't an option.
It's a different style of hunting down here than what I did sneaking around the bush in the BOP.

Seems like a lot more sitting and glassing for animals down here , checking faces , gully's and areas.
Lot's to learn, very big and open so it's a new game for me also. Good luck.
