Options for self-guided private land Fallow or Red hunts

I'm wanting to take a couple of old boys out on another hunting trip, I'm thinking fallow in wanganui or similar.

Don't want a guided hunt. Happy to tent but if we go over winter it might be nice to be able to stay in a hut/woolshed etc.

Want something reasonable priced, nothing that's too commercial.

I've read an old thread on here but thought I'd start a new one as situations have likely changed.

Dad's getting older and I wanna see him get another deer.

Can anyone put me onto something?

Makapua Station has a good record. Pretty handy to you too Clint.

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

Looks like it’s gonna happen. Its not turned pear shaped he’s said he ll do it so we ll see. More a case of not being able to make contact at this stage I’m not accusing him of any wrong doing at all.

Knows his stuff that's for sure. Electoral roll and the company register work wonders in finding people.
