Otago, Queenstown area (not a where to hunt post lol)

    Hi guys!

Close to a year as forum member and well over a year working on this trip.

I have my Plan A-B-C... of where I want to try my hunt. truck is rent, plane ticket, hotel, etc.

I'm at the point where the final details aren't on google map like the homekill processing!

I'm looking for a buddy where I can clean the skull and custom box it for the plane.
I didn't planned to bring the boiler, pot and handy tool with me.

I'll pay for the hospitality and the booze is on me!

I can also bring stuff from here, but primers are also a PITA to find here lol

For exporting a trophy skull does it need the proper paperwork from a taxidermist?
I wouldn't have thought a home job would be enough to satisfy border control.
Every machine is a smoke machine,
If you use it wrong enough.

Air Canada accept it as long as there is no soft tissue, so basically a euro skull but no need to bleach it in NZ, i'll do it at home

If you get stuck, I'm arrowtown based and can help with the skull boiling/cleaning. Happy to crank up the old laundry copper. Must be over 100years old I reckon!

JSV you will not need a cites permit for the tahr , but best to print out the "non -cites declaration letter " on bottom of that link provided above and that should cover the customs on your end.
