    Oupua Hut

    Make that the Otupua Hut

Heading in there in a couple weeks, I've read what is already on the board and watched a couple of Youtube vids of people who have been in.

Does anyone have any recent tips, good slips to glass, that type of thing?

    Thanks in advance.

Off the runway there’s good vantage points right next to the hut. We shot one within 10 minutes of getting out of the chopper off there a couple of years ago. Stags will be hard to find - they’ll mainly be across the river in poronui but the deer we found on our august trip were all down low, similar elevation to the hut. Cool block would love to have a tilt in there over april

Ahhh. The runway. The good old days of Air Charter Taupo and fixed wing.

Poronui is next door, don't need to get your boots wet.
