    Over Kill

As this little Fallow was half dead anyway and I shot it with a 9.3x64 Brenneke which is considered over kill by many,it must be very over dead. Saw it 3 days ago and yesterday afternoon spent 1.5 hrs frustrating hunting, as it would move off and then go to ground and hide. Shot in the neck from 40yds with a speer 270 gr at 2700fps.
It had a fawn inside that had reduced to a pile of bones in her womb.

Velocity is thrilling, but diameter does the real killing.

Good man, saved he from a painful death by the sounds.

Well done John. Look how hollow it is in the arse end.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Looks about the right amount of dead to me. Seen a few poor condition hinds, this due to dry summer?

    overkill???

A quick mercifull end to the pain by the looks of things.
I've found lambs mummified inside ewes on the odd occasion when doing house mutton, they're hard as a rock.
