Can anyone please advise on suitable make and calibre for mainly rabbits. Approx. velocity and filling system would be helpful also. What is an acceptable range with ideal conditions? Thanks.

I have this in .22

good trigger, accurate.
I would rate to 100m, my longest is 67m.
Went through both shoulders.... easily.
A PCP (pre-charged compressed air), needs dive bottle etc.
Pricey, there are cheaper options but for a repeating (14 round circular mags) I like their setup.
I have mine dialled down to sub-sonic. Pellets aren't designed for faster.
I have slung pellets out to 160+ to harass the odd dirt-lump for kicks, very easy to dial in and repeatable accuracy.
Thanks for input. Very true mimms2. Have been hunting forover 50 years so fully understand the importance of shot placement and shooting conditions. Thanks again everyone.
go look at spguns on youtube, was on here for awhile. he is a keen pcp user as no rifles allowed where he lives
For rabbits, headshots to approximately 40m will do with a 16J 4,5mm. Use a good round-nose like JSB Exact shot at around 240 m/s. Air Arms S200 or CZ 200S are examples of light, pointable, simple, reliable, accurate, cheap rifles in this category, that can be filled with a high pressure handpump, that can be bought for a couple of tenners from the Chinese Wholesale sites like aliexpress. In the UK 16J rifles are the main bunny busters.
I have a 22 cal FX Cyclone. Accurate and powerful, kills possums easily.
